Amy Winehouse home up for sale

LONDON - Ten months after the 27-year-old singer died, the London home of Amy Winehouse is put up for sale by her family, The Guardian reports.
The asking price of this three-bedroom house in Camden Square is £2.7m, or almost $4 million dollars. Thousands of mourning fans transformed the property into a shrine after Winehouse died last July.
Many believed that the north-west London villa would be the future headquarters for the Amy Winehouse Foundation, a charity created to support the singer's favorite causes.
According to The Guardian, a family spokesperson says, "the Winehouses have decided to put the house on the market, with great regret. Amy loved that house but none of the family felt it appropriate that they should live in it.
"It was not practical to keep it empty while paying for its upkeep. It is a wonderful place and will be a happy family home for someone."
Winehouse's bodyguard discovered her body on a bed at the property. Her battles with drug and alcohol abuse were a subject of much media scrutiny.
